Por uma Europa justa, verde, verdadeira e solidária
Numa altura em que Portugal assume a Presidência do Conselho da União Europeia, a carta enviada pelo Papa Francisco, em outubro de 2020, ao Cardeal Pietro Parolin, em comemoração das relações de longa data entre a Santa Sé e as Instituições Europeias, revela-se um importante guia de reflexão a todos os portugueses [cristãos e “pessoas de boa vontade” (FT 6) ] que queiram aceitar a oportunidade de se apropriarem da sua União Europeia e de contribuir para recuperar os sonhos do projeto comunitário que a moldaram, partindo da realidade onde se inserem e que representam.
Missão é erguer o olhar
É o momento propício para erguer o olhar e aprender a viver e a agradecer sem nos deixarmos levar por saudosismos de um passado que já não volta. Estejamos atentos, pois a missão é estar dispostos a inaugurar novos caminhos que consistem em aprender a escutar, a contemplar as novas realidades que nos permitam penetrar na profundidade da vida e encontrar as coordenadas humanas e divinas da sua própria existência
